My 175 lb. 5-year old male mastiff is experiencing some fungal (red inflammation, tender) areas under his front arm pits and deep in his paws. It is better to bathe more often with anti-fungal (i.e. Ketohex) or keep dry other ways, i.e. anti-fungal spray and bathe less often (i.e. 1-2 month). We live in a humid climate, in Lowcountry, SC although the dog is kept clean and dry in cool air inside during the day. If there is a different treatment, I'm open to hearing about it. We don't want to change our food as that is helping many other issues (dermatological and other).
Edit: I will add that we went through a long round of antibiotics for separate issues in November/December, which didn't resolve this issue.
Thanks for your input.
