Puppy Crack

:doggyhug2:Okay, so Christmas came and went and a few interesting facts emerged. Some foods are, for lack of a better descriptor, Puppy Crack.
Shortbread Cookies. My sister gave my daughter a very large tin of Scottish Shortbread Cookies. She opened it and took one and gave her Rottie a half piece. She left the tin in the kitchen and after five minutes she started hearing whining and going to investigate found the Rottie parked in front of the counter, staring and whining at the tin. From cookie one to the last crumb, both her dog and mine were in pathetic, begging, over drive. Apparently the Scottish are adding something better than butter to the recipe. Good thing it's legal!

So, what's your dog's Puppy Crack?

Cheese!!! Lottie will do anything for a tiny sliver of the stuff. When I make the kids lunch for school she's right there behind me doing her little cheese dance!!! If you're not very careful when you turn round you either fall over her or slide in the drool pool she's made, lol!!

For Jiggers it's chocolate. He accidentally got some as a puppy, he could reach where I thought was safe. I now have to hide it in cabinets that are out of his reach. For Kryten it's egg shells, he'll eat the egg eventually but it's the shell he wants.

For my girls it's pizza. I know the crust isn't good for them, but I am a sucker for the wiggle butts, so I cave.

Pizza is also big here.
But Miss Vegas is also a spice lover.
I sometimes think her small size might mean she is part Chihuahua.
If it is hot and spicy she will follow you anywhere.
Doritos sriracha chips are puppy crack to her.

I'm with your puppy, whining at the shortbread tin. I LOVE that stuff!

Denna... that would be anything we're eating or cooking with in the kitchen... seriously, she starts drooling if I slice up a lime. She prefers cheese and meat in any form, though.

Fish oil pills. Just moving the bottle they are in will get both puppies running from the sound.

Titan's crack is hamburger without the bun and french fries and of course, anything I'm eating. I eat mostly veggies, so once he smells it, he walks away. :)

Ours is salami. I only have to say, "Salami" and they come running. I use it as a treat after I'm done cleaning ears or clipping nails.

Junior's favorites are damn near anything. But I believe the cat's food is at the top of the list.

Cheese, bananas, and apples, sausage, meatballs. But cheese is by far #1.

Chicken and turkey were right up there too, but we think he's got an allergy so those ones are out.

Kujo doesn't have favorites, if I'm eating it he wants it, no matter what it is. When I show him it's something he doesn't want he will sniff at it and turn his nose away, but still stand there begging. Eventaully he will take the offensive treat and go to his bed and kill it.
