Chicken feet?

Pig's snot...ummm...no... I've seen rectum at the asian market, I walked away. Totally gross!

I have found something grosser than chicken feet.....buffalo tongue!

Since I've bought so much from her when I picked up the liver today she handed me the tongue, they know I feed the liver to the dogs and she said if we didn't want to eat it the dogs would probly love it, but that for human consumption at least it has to be "peeled" first. I figured no problem, I've skined poultry, and pig cuts several times, buffalo tongue can't be that bad....

Its currently sitting on my counter while I'm totally grossed out! Go stick your tongue out at yourself in the mirror, thats what buffalo tongue looks like, only several times wider and a LOT longer....its even still got the taste buds!!! Both dogs are going "is that for US!!!!"

OMG, I'm going to throw up... There is no way I would ever touch this... No way...

Lol it's totally my fault. Had a serious lapse in judgment.

I was coaxed into eating cow tongue once and it was actually pretty good!

How many chicken feet should I feed and how often? I would guess that Kryten would need more as a preventative then Jiggers would since there is a significant weight difference between them.

I feed between 2 and 6 a day to Apollo, 1 or 2 a day to Arty (adult weight should be 35lbs give or take) depending on what I have on hand. If I miss a day or two, or more, its not the end of the world, but I try to stay on top of it. They adore them so its not like its a hardship. Apollo'd probly eat an entire two pound bag in one sitting if I let him....

I do the same with my boys. Although Thor is harder because sometimes he won't eat them. Stone on the other hand inales them.

Okay- the grossest thing I have fed to my dog are chicken heads. Yep, the whole little head, comb and all. Supposed to be as good as chicken feet in terms of joint health.

The weirdest part are the eyes: sometimes they're closed, sometimes open, staring up at you. Nice...

Gotta admit the rabbit heads I tried were pretty gross, they were skinned though so it didn't bother me as much. Oddly enough even the Black Hole here thought they were weird too. He kept trying to stash them around the house instead of eating them....
