AMEN, JAKESMUM. I was late catching up on this thread and my heart just about broke. You've been through so much with the big guy, you deserve all the years you can get. If Boxergirl's information helps, I'll be very happy for you. We love them so much...it's like we can't breath when they are sick or hurting. It's a desperate love, isn't it? And we wouldn't give up a second of our time with them...not a second.
Thank you! That is exactly how I feel, I love him just so much and it rips my heart out when he's sick or hurting. He is my baby! Some people in my family don't understand, but I always know I can come here and everyone here will understand exactly how I feel!

How's Jake doing? Is he all healed up?
He's doing pretty good. Still healing a bit, the scabbing is slowly coming off and the scar will fade with time. He seems to be slowing down quite bit lately, he is almost 7 so I imagine this is normal, plus it's been pretty hot here and I don't want him to overdo it in the heat. We are being very vigilant about watching the area for any regrowth and checking him over for any unusual lumps now that I know what to look for. Unless something comes up I hope not to have to see the vet until December when he goes in for his checkup and shots.
