XXL crates

Hi all!
I am searching for the perfect crate for Max. He no longer fits in the XL comfortably. I was reading posts
1 day and there was a picture in one's post. It was set up in the corner and was more than a crate. It was large area enclosed maybe with fencing of some sort. Do ya'll know who might have this. Might be a custom job? Not sure??? Not sure if the XXL will be big enough in the future. Any suggestions? Thanks!!!

A few members on the forum suggested a crate to me and I bought it. So far it’s great and plenty big enough for my girl. It’s the 99$ one on chewy.com.

Yes, the price is great! I only had one complaint: the shipping. I’m assuming it was during shipping it got kinda banged up. When it arrived and we opened it, we had to kick the pup out of the room because there was sooooo much “styrofoam confetti”. So after vacuuming it all up (still finding pieces weeks later) and looking it over we noticed almost every “end wire” was bent. It wasn’t hard to fix, we just taped up some channel locks and bent the wires back. Just kind of annoying. But for that price, I would gladly bend some wires and clean up snowflakes, rather than paying 3xs as much!

We just got Logan's crate yesterday. He outgrew the smaller one we had. It's a 48 in. Not a 54. But it's huge. And he loves it. We put the partition it came with in the middle and he still has plenty of room to stretch out. Only thing I don't care for is the fact that it's not as heavy duty as I like, but hubby is going to secure the joints with some black tie wraps. Best part is it was on sale at our local Tractor Supply. No shipping needed and it cost $49.99

Oh yeah, we put zip ties all over ours too. It seems pretty sturdy, but my boyfriend is overly paranoid about everything. Then we used our dremel (that we have for Lettie’s nails) to grind down the sharp ends of the zip ties.

You will have your own tv show eventually! "Jarena's animal product safety show - how customization improves our lives".
Seriously, it never hurts to be on the safe side. I have always worked in the manufacturing industry, and everything is about safety. I‘ve noticed that I‘m projecting this on my private life too, which is a good thing.

No no, TylerDurden, you have it all wrong. It will be “Matt’s Saftey Show” the opening credits will be a shot of me rolling my eyes. :p
I always think he’s being too cautious, but if I were left alone, I would be in big trouble lol. I’m a bit reckless .
The crate comes with 2 doors and we zip tied the one we don’t use. She knew how to break out of the last crate, so far this one is more secure. Either that, or she’s finally comfortable enough to not try to escape.

You too! I call my husband Mr. OSHA, cause everything is a safety lesson with him! He is the one constantly reminding me that one of the girls might trip outside on the uneven sidewalk, and fall face first, breaking all their teeth, and will then have to be rushed to the hospital for reconstructive surgery!! Lol. He comes up with some sh** let tell ya! So I can definitely concur w the eyeroll...

Funny! That‘s exactly what I keep telling my wife when all of her stuff is on the floor. I usually add something like, "keep in mind we don‘t have the money to get all your teeth fixed if you fall". Safety is very important. So many things can happen at home that we would never anticipate. Call me boring :) Maybe I‘m just getting old.

He has rubbed off on me over the years. I'm a little more cautious than I used to be, but not like him!! I think it's all those safety meetings they have at work ;) And Avriel my oldest daughter is exactly like him with the safety. Poor girl is having panic attacks trying to keep us all safe. :)

Yes, that must be it. In manufacturing, construction, and other related industry, it is all about safety. They invest a lot in safety meetings, trainings, and accident prevention in general. It‘s a good thing because a lot of things can go wrong. Definitely in those high risk environments. "See something, say something!"

My boyfriend is an electrician. He is always telling me not to touch bare wires and such. I roll my eyes and tell him “I’m so glad you warned me, I was JUST about to lick that wire”! One time he told me not to touch the open electrical panel, after he left I texted him a photo of myself that looked like I was licking it. I swear I could *feel* his heart attack over the next couple of texts.

Too funny.. But it shows how much they care. It's their job to protect us. ;)

We purchased an XXL crate, but never used it. I suppose I am home enough not to worry about a dog alone for more than 6 hours. I sold the crate and....all we do now is cover the couch, close the bedroom doors and the dogs are well-behaved and no accidents. One thing for sure....licking those electrical wires will contribute to curly hair. Have a great Tuesday, all doggie folks. Pic is Mr. Chev almost blocking out the sun...and the grandson last weekend when they visited for Mother's Day.054.JPG

Awesome pic.. Ok thanks all for the info. I have some cool choices. I am home most of the time. I might leave to go to the grocery and I need to secure Max as he is starting to hump EVERYTHING and I mean everything. I have 3 yg. neutered males and they will not have it. I am holding out on Max getting neutered as long as I can. He is a REALLY horney BIG pup.
Thanks for the big grins. I especially love the licking the wire. I had a visual. Too funny!
