Found this on my CC. What is it?

There some dark stuff in it and when I picked at it, some of it came out. Seemed a little hard and smelled bad. Any idea what it is?

A bad smell is usually indicative of an infection of some kind. I would have a vet check it out.

It looks a bit like an inverted nipple, which could have "road dirt" and sweat built up around it, which give it kind of a gross smell.

I agree. My Ella's two top nipples are inverted and I have to make sure to keep them clean. They get a buildup of matter that stinks. I would suggest a trip to the vet just to make sure and go from there.

I thought I was crazy. Lettie has little dirty inverted nipples too. I don’t have a male dog, and don’t know too much about nipple placement but.... my dad has a lab that has nipples for days. I mean this dogs nipples go from chest to penis. If we could see under his fur, I swear they would go alllll the way around, up his back and all!

Hmmm interesting... best to check it out. I have a female that has an odd placement of 2 nipples and one female who only has 7 nipples so weird is just normal for me.

It appears to be a clogged pore...or like a black head pimple on a human.

Its common for some male dogs to get them in that area.

Sometimes they do smell when popped.

FYI: I'm no Vet. But thats what it looks like to me. There are vids online of people popping them too.

I was thinking it was a doggie blackhead too. I’ll check YouTube. If I die, I sure hope someone can explain my internet history to the authorities.....

Thanks for the input folks!

looks like some kind of bug bit ... and bad smell normally means infections. I agree with Smokeycat. Your vet will most likely give you an topical anti-biotic cream to put on. Is it bothering him? has he been licking it or chewing on it?

He licks it but don’t know if it’s anymore than usual. I wish I can get a better closeup but it looks weird. The bump is shaped kinda like an egg where the top is slightly thinner than the base. And the opening where the gunk is looks caved in. Almost like the gunk got pushed in rather than it being pushed out.

for now I wouldn’t do that alcohol I’m thinking that would only irritate it, more so then help. Do you have peroxide? That would kill the bacteria and maybe not dry it out the heathy tissue around it. I would also try to do the warm compress as many times per day you can to draw it out. If it doesn’t come out in a couple days, that when I would take him to the vet. That or sooner if the condition worsens.

I would suggest having your vet take a look before any poking or prodding. It's probably nothing at all, but if there is any infection you can push it deeper and make it spread with any messing around.
