Fish farts?

I'm that weird eccentric lady with the crazy hair, lots of animals, hippie clothes, and herbs hanging in the trees. Lol.[/QUOTE]

Love it! I'm weird too. We use herbs and oils. And even went 4 months only washing our hair with water. It sounds gross, but sebum is really good for your hair. My hair was the best it's ever been, and no one could even tell we hadn't used shampoo. I am currently looking for a good natural deodorant. I've tried so many, and even tried making my own. 'Sigh' but it gets sooo hot here in the summer, I can't handle soaking wet pits! Lol

Ok where do I buy coconut oil? Amazon would be great, but what kind? And how much? She is about 110 pounds. Thanks for all the replies!
I get it at Costco for about 1/4 the price the pet stores sell it at. My 75 lbs dog gets about a tsp while my EM who is 190 lbs gets 4 tbsp. I started small and increased until it started to affect their pop and then backed off. Kryten only went up that high when I used coconut oil to give him his pain meds.

Yeah, chewy.com has great prices and deliver fast, I order from them say 5pm and they delivered it to me 9am the next day. This particular coconut oil says you can give them up to 1 teaspoon per pound each day, so Zeela can get up to 8 teaspoons per day & she loves the taste of it.

I‘ve read about that too. The container says "1 teaspoon per 10 pounds of body weight“. However, I really don‘t want to give a 7 month old dog 15 spoons of coconut oil a day. I give about one tablespoon a day (split in two meals).

As mentioned, it‘s really helpful when you have to give pills. Covering them in coconut oil or peanut butter usually works very well.

ha ha....yeah, CC's are known to be farters, she once farted loud and scared herself, she was like looking behind her like what was that???? lol... salmon oil is great & I just started giving her coconut oil, she LOVES that!!! you can do alot with coconut oil, i put it in her kong and a little on her dry food so she eats it.

Yeah, when Bailey was small, she'd fart like a dull sounding whistle, and she'd look around at her butt as if she'd been attacked....funny. Now it's just, so what, enjoy my fragrant offerings.

Yes, you are right 1 tsp per 10 lbs. not 1 lb (typo error)...that would be way too much...lol

Agreed. However, I do even think that 1 tsp per 10 lbs is too much (just my opinion). I would have to give my dog 15 spoons of coconut oil a day, which I think is crazy.

Depends how much you want. I'm a soapmaker, so I could give you sources for gallons. Coconut oil makes fluffy bubbles. Big Lots also has it often.

I don't know if that is the goal here Boxergirl.... Don't think anyone wants to see big fluffy bubbles coming out of our dogs back end ... ROFL!

ah ah I know ... but I just had too! :p

Coconut oil is also High in Calories.

I don't give it to Denna anymore for anything but the odd treat... all the coconut calories go straight to padding for her, and she doesn't need any extra!

As for fish-farts... something's not getting fully digested... digestive enzymes might help more than probiotics, and I think would be worth the experiment!
I've used some of the Dogzymes products and like them.

Update:
We started giving her a full probiotic tablet (instead of half) every morning. Just doing that has helped so much!
Lesson learned: don’t be so cheap and life will smell better!
Thanks everyone!
