Just joined. We fostered his guy for two weeks. Then we just had to keep him.

Hi and welcome! Congratulations on your foster failure!
Lol...yes we are. My wife wanted a third child or foster a dog. So she found a rescue and wanted to try fostering. We have two bulldogs and didn't want a small dog. I've always wanted a big dog. We've had him for almost a month. He's awesome and I can't get enough of this guy. He just turned 6 months. When we got him he was extremely skinny and stunk. He was 53 lbs. He now has gained 10 lbs and doesn't stink!!!!!

Remember fondly the days you could pick him up in your arms...sweet days but very short, soon he'll be over 100 lbs and not a lap puppy at all. I cherish my dog's baby days before her bark deepened and she was just a scrappy little miss struggling to get out of my arms. Fierce little baby barks and attitude...lots of attitude. All that mellowed away into a 120 lb couch potato. So, take lots of pictures. Trust me, there are never enough pictures.

Yes he is still a baby. A BIG BABY. I do like carrying him around as of right now. He likes to cuddle me on the couch. He will snuggle up between my wife and I and sort of push her away to get next to me. But when I'm not around he followers her everywhere. I'm worried that I might spoil him a little too much. He does like going for short runs with me. I'm not a big runner but I run a few miles total during the week in early mornings for work. It's funny when he sees a deer or two. He is unsure and will cry a little with his tail wagging like crazy......

Welcome! I think Vito suits him. He's a handsome boy. My girl is a foster failure as well. Failing never felt so good.
