to accommodate your dogs? We find that between Daisy and the three little ones, we frequently choose/move our spot based on the dogs. :)

I don't move but I will reposition. It's normally to get an elbow out of a bad/painful spot.

I sit wherever I want as long as there is no one or dog sitting there already,

BWAHAHA @ DDSK. I push Trix over if she is in my spot. No one gets that spot except for the hubby if he is already there.

I squeeze my fat ass on the couch besides Titan. He's clearly comfortable while I'm firmly planted against the arm of the couch.

I do. Sadly, I find I do all sorts of thigs to accomodate the dogs. LOL Once completely crushed, I will pull myself out fom under the dog and move to another spot. If they steal it while I am up, I let them have it. I have been known to sleep curled up because someone has decided to curl up where my legs go and they look so comfortable that I don't want to make them move....I changed my entire living room around to make their big barker bed fit because I thought they would prefer it in there (I was right, they lay on it all of the time).

Yep, sitting is the least of it. Debra was on a business trip last week and I got the best sleep I've gotten in the last couple of years. I had forgotten what it was like to sleep with all of your butt firmly on the bed instead of half a cheek hanging off.

Xerxes won't get up on the couch, not sure why but he won't. He does however like to lay by my feet on the floor and I often have to crawl the length of the couch to get off because he has all the foot space I would need to get up.

He only sleeps on the bed when hubby is gone. (He works out west, so gone 3 weeks, home 1 1/2) And he sleeps in hubby's spot with the little dog on hubby's pillow. Both snore too, just like hubby, so it's like hubby never left. :) When hubby is home, Xerxes sleeps on my daughter's bed and the little mutt squeezes in on the foot of our bed.

I mostly get the butt end but occasionally will have to escape a paw on the odd chance she turns around!

We need more seating, we have a sectional but with two of us and 4 dogs (only one mastiff) there is usually a dog everywhere. :)

We will slide the little ones over, there is no moving Daisy.

Rocky lets me set down first
Daisly will usually follow us to a room so we sit down first, but then she will climb up and over us so we have to scoot to give her enough room.

.
Deb, that is us too, we often have to squeeze between dogs, daisy uses the arm rest of the couch or loveseat as a pillow

Kris, I believe you take it to a level beyond where we do. I've seen your bedroom! LMAO

AB, no dogs in the bed here, sleep is far too important to me!

I usually have Daisy on the couch next to me but one of the little ones at my feet so I'm always stepping on someone. Now if I'm at the kitchen table, Daisy is directly under foot.

It is nice to know we are fairly normal, at least in this company. :)

Re: How many of you move your seating position….

DD is on vacation in Mexico so I have her sweet AMBull puppy - Ernie. well he's 4 now I think. yesterday my bro stopped in so I also had his greyhounds here. So 5 large breed dogs in my tiny living room. the female grey got up and lay down in the middle of the sofa. I tried to get Ernie to go lay down beside her but he wouldn't. I sat on my recliner chair and he just stood beside me, barking and whining every once in awhile. I just ignored. Im not gonna try and make sure everyone is all comfy, can't be bothered to baby all those dogs. anyway, poor Ernie....i looked over and he's standing there beside me, eyes closed, head falling, then he wakes up, and whines. eyes close and his head falls again.....

So....yeah...i moved. went to the sofa so he could come up and curl up beside me. he fell into a deep sleep. silly guy!

I have a huge sectional sofa so Carma will get in her favorite spot for the most part unless all us humans are on it. She has oddly figured out how to get my kids to move if she wants them to. She will get her tug toy and bring it to them and when they get up to play with her she flops down in their spot. My 6 yr old son will just sit on her and she will move, but my 3 yr old daughter will start crying foul. When Carma gets down to see why my daughter is crying, my daughter will hurry and get back in her spot. ALL my kids are NUTS.

I'm jealous Cookiedough! A sectional is what I aspire to.

The other day, Lila and I were laying on the couch. Zeek decided he wanted to join us, but the fact that there wasn't room for his big ole Mastiff ass didn't stop him. He simply crawled up in the small space between my bent legs and the backrest and laid down. I'm pretty sure he was betting on the fact that he would squish me and I would move.

Sure enough not five minutes later, he's sprawled on the couch and I'm laying on the floor!

More seating doesn't equal more room. I recently got a new couch and love seat. This is how I get to watch the game.

You can't see them but there is also a cat behind me lying on the arm. The smallest cat has the love seat to herself.

Smokey is right...More seating does not equal more room. I have a huge sectional, a giant round oversized chair and then a normal living room chair in the room as well as a giant big barker bed that they adore and they still need to be where I am. I get on the couch and we are ALL getting on the couch.....TOGETHER!!! LOL
